In shared living or working spaces, there is often a common area where residents can gather and staff members can meet. Tables serve as catalysts for connection in these interiors—families and friends come together around a dining table at home, while professionals and businesspeople unite at a conference table in the office.
Table Line is a commissioned project for a custom three-meter-long solid wood conference table at Hataarvo Architects’ new studio. Inspired by the rays of light passing through Venetian blinds, the table features slit details that visually lighten the thick wooden slabs. Sunlight streaming through the French windows filters through the slits, casting beautiful geometric shadows in the space.
*The bevel detail and the gap on the table surface provide space for placing pens and allow laptop or screen wires to pass through the center of the long table.
