Table LINE

─ Collaboration with Hataarvo Architects, Taichung, TAIWAN, 2014

Interiors often contain a space for people to come together. A family gathers by the dinning table, a business is united at a conference table. Tables are the catalysts for people to bond. For numerous people to gather, a large table is required. The Table Line is inspired by the rays of light passing through Venetian blinds. Numerous slits cut into the large pieces of wood, breaking down the visual mass of the large table. Light interacts with the table by passing through the slits, casting light rays on the floor that varies throughout different times of day.

** Table is beveled towards the center, with a gap. The bevel is useful for holding stationery while the gap is there for cable routing of desktop electronics
